Blog:  Transforming Sermons
Blogger:  Milton Stanley (North Wales, Pennsylvania)

January 15, 2008 marks three years for the blog, Transforming Sermons.  Milton Stanley, the man behind this great site, started this blog “for preachers who want to preach transforming sermons and other Christians who want to experience them.”  He desires, as his tagline expresses, to “help preachers to proclaim, and all Christians to hear, the transforming Word of God.”  He explains, “We’ll be celebrating three years of blogging by looking at weblogs that consistently provide resources for furthering the mission of this blog: hearts transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.”

In a post titled Indeed, Milton presents a quote from another good blogger who lives in the UK,

Dave Bish: “That Christ went to the cross doesn’t primarily show how valuable we are; it most supremely shows how evil we are to make such a remedy necessary.” Amen.

Blog:  Gospel Driven Life
Blogger:  Mark Lauterbach (San Diego, California)

Mark’s goal is “Making the most of the crucified, risen, and exalted Christ.”  His love for the Gospel is evidenced by how he expounds, explains, and applies the Gospel to every day life.  In his short article simply titled The Spirit of God, he asks the question, “What does it mean to live by faith in the person and work of the Holy Spirit?”  He then begins to expound on Acts 2:

Acts 2 says that the regime of the “last days” (in which we live) is marked by the effusive, abundant working of the Spirit of God in all of his people. No one person has a special corner on the work of the Spirit. He is given abundantly to all his people. The result is powerful works of God – healing and conviction of sin, signs and conversions. The result is also great fruitfulness. When the Spirit of God comes, the barren ground bears a great harvest. 3000 are converted in one day, and the fruitfulness abounds so much that Luke no longer records conversions, he records multiplication of churches.

Gospel Driven Life will deepen your understanding of and your love for the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Blog:  Heart, Mind, Soul & Strength
Blogger:  Weekend Fisher (Texas)

Heart, Mind, Soul & Strength benefits readers with thoughtful and profound expressions of the Gospel. Weekend Fisher makes much of the Gospel and its impact on our thoughts and actions. In Icons of God in Creation: Light, she expresses thoughtful reflection on Genesis 1:

In the opening verses of Genesis, reality is created almost as an echo of the Word of God. God names a thing and calls it to be, and it is. (Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the very first word spoken by God to create the world is a form of the verb “be” — a conjugation of His own name?)  Many of the most basic elements of creation — light, water, rocks, wind — are referenced time and again in Scriptures as icons of God, windows through which we catch glimpses of the reality of God. For today, I’ll consider light.

Many of her articles leave the reader thinking, “Wow, I never thought of it like that before.”  As anyone can attest, even this short article discussing light is most helpful.
