It is our prominent forum for weighty opinion and well-supported arguments. A place for taking a firm stand on issues of national or international importance to Christians.

The Gloriscope Forum is a place for Christians to discuss the toughest questions, important emerging problems, or fresh approaches to old problems. All from a clear God-honoring perspective, in a spirit of Christian courage, wisdom and love.

Guidelines for the Gloriscope Forum

LENGTH: Submitted articles should be 800 to 3,000 words long. Shorter articles (800-1,500 words) will have a better chance of getting published.

TOPICS AND TARGET READERS: Any topic of public interest to Christians and/or non-Christians in the United States, in another country, many countries, or worldwide.

ONLY ORIGINAL, UNPUBLISHED ARTICLES: All articles for the Gloriscope Forum must be written specially for Gloriscope, for exclusive publication in Gloriscope. We do not accept articles that are simultaneously submitted to Gloriscope and other publications. We will not knowingly publish articles that have been published before, either complete or in part. The author or authors of the original article submitted for the Forum must be the sole copyright holder(s) of the article.

UNSOLICITED ARTICLES: You are welcome to send us an unsolicited article. You are not required to send us first an inquiry whether we may be interested in your article. However, it is advisable to send us an inquiry first, describing the content and main point or conclusion of your article, and including your personal background information (see below).

LANGUAGE: Your article should be written in English. If English is not your primary language, you can add a version of the same review in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Swedish and we may choose to publish the non-English version along with the English version.

HOW TO WRITE YOUR ARTICLE You can write it in any way you wish, as long as you make it relevant to (or focused on) God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Gospel, the Church, and/or the Bible. The article should also contain at least one Bible quotation or Bible passage reference, either in the beginning or the end of the article, or integrated into the body of the review.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Your article for the Gloriscope Forum should include all of the following background information in order to be considered for publication:

• your full name and honorific prefix (Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., Prof. or Rev.), which will be published,
• your occupation or job position (will be published),
• the name of the organization you represent (if applicable), which will be published only if you request so in your cover letter,
• street address (will not be published),
• city, state/province, and country of residence (will be published),
• your e-mail address and daytime telephone number (with the country and area code) where we can reach you for possible verification, questions or additional info (will not be published).

Your e-mail address and phone number will NOT be published – we may use them to verify the identity of the article’s author. If your article contains new or doubtful information, we may need to verify the facts by phone or e-mail. That is another reason why we may need to have your contact information.

If your article is accepted, we will publish your name, city, state or province, country and, if applicable, the name of your organization. We may also publish your optional information and your photo (see below).

YOUR OPTIONAL INFORMATION: If you include your job title, public position or other background information about yourself, we may in our discretion publish that information as well, unless you explicitly state in your cover letter that it should not be published. If you e-mail a small personal photo of yourself, we will take that as your copyright and privacy permission to publish it along with your article, if we so wish.

PAYMENT: We are not able to pay author’s fees for articles published in the Gloriscope Forum. But we would gladly give you publicity by linking the name in your byline to your blog, personal website, or the website of your church, if you wish so and if you give us the relevant URLs (website locations on the Web).

RESTRICTIONS: In the Gloriscope Forum, we will not publish anonymous articles or articles for which the writer has requested that his/her name or city of residence should not be published, articles not disclosing the writer’s telephone number to Gloriscope’s editor, or so-called “open letters.” We do not publish articles that are offensive or indecent in content or language, that contain commercial promotion, that are legally risky or irrelevant to the nature and focus of Gloriscope.com.
